Hello.

I am a nuclear scientist working out of an underground base in a IndustrialCraft modded world,

and this is my story.

I had always aspired to be a scientist, but Notch hadn't made it possible to go very far in this field.

"why don't you become a farmer, like your Uncle Bill?" my mother always said, but whenever my dad was home, and not off on one of his expeditions, he would say "why don't you come with me and the boys on a Dungeoneering expedition, my boy? I'm sure you'll pick up on it real fast, you were born to a line of great Dungeoneers." They were both sorely disappointed when I applied for a course in Redstone Technologies and Minecraft Physics.

I later got my degree and headed out into the world, wondering if I would be able to find work. I spent 8 days on the road, when i finally found a farmer, out in front of his house, muttering miserably as he worked his small flowerbed. I overheard something about "hand pains" and "damn creepers" and "scamming little sonofabitch", and when i asked him what all the fuss was about, he said to me, "I hate having to open my doors by hand, turning the knob and pushing and always having to make sure it's closed behind me. And when i finally hired a man to get a pressure plate working for me, he cost me tons of gold ingots, a whole 64! it was outrageous, and to make matters worse, every time a creeper or zombie or skeleton walked onto it, it opened wide and let them into my home. I've had to move everything several times due to creeper threats! I just wish someone had a right min and could find a way to let me open my door without all the shutting and turning and explosions." That gave me an idea. I sais to him, "Why don't you let me take a look at it?" and noticing the old pressure plate still hooked up, I quickly removed the plate, moved the redstone wiring around and placed a button by his door. I asked him if he thought that was better, and when he tried it he exclaimed "Brilliant! Why, youve solved the only problem I've had with thsi farm in years! My boy, what do I owe you?" and i got off with a few loaves of bread, 16 gold ingots and a promise that my name would be spread across the countryside as the "most brilliant redstone worker i've ever met."

But that wasn't good enough.

I wanted more.

So i found a man named Jeremiah Goldsmith, and asked him where i could find more sciences to follow. He told me "try the IndustrialCraft mod, it has some neat stuff in it." So i thanked him and went on my way, uploading the mod and quickly noticed, not alot seemed different. But i tried experimenting, and eventually came to realise, as a friend had mentioned in my early years of education, i could make a Nuclear Reactor. I experimented with recipes, creating generators of all sorts, machines and tools and even fancy armor, until i finally found it. Clad in my nanosuit, wrench and obsidian waiting in within my reach, i began to build a pool in which to hold my Reactor. I put some uranium into the beautiful machine, and a queezy green glow came about the watery shelter. I waited nearby the Reactor hut for my uranium to be refined, but it took a day before i realised "this'll take forever," so i began to mine for more uranium ore to feed my wonderful new toy.

After some time, I came across a dungeon, with a creeper spawner in it. I checked the chests for anything of value, but jsut found wheat and the odd string. i built a drowning trap around the spawner and waited at the bottom, hoping to collect some useful gunpowder. after some time i reached 15 gunpowder, and in my excitement ran upstairs to the crafting table in my sweet little abode i had built into a hillside.

But, in the process of creating some TNT, i thought, nuclear warfare. Why wouldnt that work? So, experimeting with the recipes for explosives, I spent days fiddling, and eventually came out with, a beautiful little box, looking much like the TNT i was so familiar with from the Redstone course, but with a neat little black and yellow (Wiz Khalifa) insignia on its sides. Not knowing how big the uranium reaction would be, i place the Nuke faar from my home, and set it off. what hjappened next was very peculiar, and wasnt expected at all. The box just sat for about 30 seconds, not the usual 4 or 5 you get from TNT. But then, from my little window in my home, I noticed why the timer was so longset. It was so you could get as far away as possible. The reaction was magnificent. It inspired me. since that day, i have gone on to experiment with the Nuke in as many ways as i can, its ore depletion ratio, its explosion length, its exact time limit, how useful ot could be in mining or warfare, et cetera, et cetera. I will not release the information on how to craft the Nuke, because i still remember the butterflies I got when I realised I had nailed the recipe. Enjoy Nuking, my fellow scientists and explosive addicts!
